The Election Commission has changed the Deputy Commissioner of Kullu and Superintendent of Police of Baddi Barotiwala in Himachal Pradesh keeping in mind the election code of conduct. According to the State Chief Election Officer, Narender Chauhan, after discussion with the State Chief Secretary and senior officers today, the Election Commission has ordered to replace these two officers with IAS and IPS cadres as they belong to the state cadres, HAS ad HPS.

The IAS officer Mr. R.S. Batta has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Kullu in place of Mr. Amitabh Avasthi who belongs to HAS cadre. The superintendent of Shimla Mr. Aarul Kumar has been appointed in Baddi Barotiwala in place of SP Gurudev Chand who is from the State Cadre.
