<span style="color: #222222;">The Himachal Pradesh State Government would encourage farmers to cultivate Heeng and saffron at high altitude areas of the state under the Krishi Se Sampannta Yojana. <br />''<br />''AIR correspondent reports that around 20,000 hectares of land would also be brought under the natural farming in the current financial year t</span>o improve the economic condition of the farmers living in high altitude areas of the state. <br />''<br />'' The government is planning to grow the first plantation of  Heeng and saffron in Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti and Chamba districts. <br />''<br />''On the other hand, one lakh farmers of the State would also be encouraged for adopting natural farming under the Prakritik Kheti Khushal Kissan Yojna.<br />''<br />'' Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has said  20,000 hectares of land would be brought under the natural farming by the end of this year. Jai Ram Thakur stated that his Government is also trying to register at least five Geographical Indications (GIs) for Karsog Kulth, Thangi of  Pangi, metal craft of Chamba, Chukh of Chamba and Rajmah of Bharmour. He said that this would not only provide a better market to these products but also, strengthen the economy of the people of these regions.<br />
