In Himachal Pradesh, five people were killed in Shimla when a car fell into a two thousand feet deep gorge last night. The car is said to have skidded off the road near Tutukandi due to slippery road caused by snowfall. According to the official sources, the people came to know about the accident only this morning and efforts are still on to recover the bodies. Those killed are said to have been working in private a company in Shimla. Meanwhile, the people of the state have some respite from the severe cold today as the day began with sunshine in most part of the state after experiencing intermittent snowfall in upper regions and rain in other parts of the state.In most of the upper hill areas of the state the normal life has been affected due to snowfall as the supply of electricity and movement of vehicular traffic have not been restored.The meteorological Department has predicted snowfall in higher reaches and rain in many parts of the state in next 48 hours.
