Tamil Nadu Revenue Minister RB Udhayakumar has said the house listing and house census operation will be held in the state from June 15th. He told reporters in Chennai that the census operation would continue for 45 days and the required notification for the same has been issued.<br />''<br />''When asked about the National Population Register (NPR), Mr Udhayakumar said there are concerns being raised about the three sets of additional questions in the new NPR as compared to the previous one. He said the state Chief Minister has written to the Centre to clarify about the new additions and until a reply is received, the NPR will not be implemented.<br />''<br />''The Minister clarified that in the list of festivals in the NPR questionnaire, Muslim festivals are not included as it was the case in the previous exercise as well. Mr Udhayakumar said passing a resolution in the state Assembly against the NPR is a futile exercise as a Central Act cannot be nullified by it. He assured that the AIADMK Government will safeguard the interests of the Muslim community.<br />
