Both the Houses of Parliament have been adjourned, the Lok Sabha till 11.30 AM and the Rajya Sabha till noon, with Shiromani Akali Dal members demanding a probe by a Special Investigation Team under the supervision of the Supreme Court into the 1984 riots in Delhi. As soon as the Lok Sabha met for the day, BJP members trooped into the well shouting slogans against Pakistan over the death of the Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh in Lahore. Displaying placards, Shiromani Akali Dal members also rushed to the well in support of their demand. Following noisy scenes, Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the House for half-an hour till 1130 hours. In the Rajya Sabha, BJP members trooped into the well demanding the Prime Minister’s resignation on the coal blocks allocation issue. Shouting slogans, Samajwadi Party members also rushed into the well of the House on the issue of Chinese incursion in Indian territory of Ladakh. As the uproar continued, Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari adjourned the House for an hour till noon.
