Hosting IPL could pave the way for Pakistan-India series in UAE: David East

The Emirates Cricket Board, ECB, Chief David East has said that hosting the IPL could pave the way for Pakistan-India series in the UAE. He told that it is going to be water shed moment. A lot of international Cricket has been played in UAE over the past 12 months but IPL has been the biggest thing to ever happen in the UAE. He said that a successful IPL could go some way in convincing the Board of Control for Cricket in India that an India-Pakistan series could be held in the UAE. Mr. East added that it would demonstrate to the BCCI is that UAE is ready to be able to stage these matches and this is a good place to come.Meanwhile, preparations are on for the opening match of the IPL Season 7 in UAE. Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians took part in a practice session at the Zayed International Cricket Stadium. The opening match of IPL 7 will be played at Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on April 16 between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders. In all 20 matches will be played during April 16-30 at stadiums in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.
