In Odisha, the two interlocutors – Dandpani Mohanty and B D Sharma – today appealed the CPI Maoists Odisha State Committee to release the second Italian, who is under captive by its cadres in Kandhmal district since the last seventeen days.

They said when the state government seems positive to fulfill maximum of their demands on humanitarian ground, the foreign national should be kept as captive and released immediately. They said the talk for release the second Italian may start at any time depends on the government.

The abductors of the sitting MLA of BJD, Maoists of Odisah-Andhra division seems to have not yet positively responded to the appeal made by the state chief minister to initiate dialogue for the release of the MLA Jhinna Hikaka.
