The trial of Egypt's former President Hosni Mubarak and his two sons resumed on Monday at the Police Academy in Cairo. Mubarak lay in bed with his two sons standing by inside the cage at the court. Mubarak was transported to the venue by a plane from the International Medical Centre. Clashes between supporters and opponents of Mubarak erupted outside the academy as the trial started. They threw stones at each other, leaving some injured. At the court, Judge Ahmed Refaat examined the evidences, including some DVDs and one flash memory. Mubarak's lawyer, Fareed El-Deeb asked for a copy of the evidences and the adjournment of the case in order to have enough time to oversee the evidences. The trial entered a break just 20 minutes after it began. The three first appeared in court on August 3, with charges of murder and corruption. But they denied all the charges.
