Egyptian state television says the two sons of the former President Hosni Mubarak have been arrested shortly after their father was taken to a hospital while being questioned about allegations of corruption. A report said the sons were ordered to be detained for 15 days after being questioned by police about alleged embezzlement. The younger son Gamal was once considered the likely successor to his father as President. There are conflicting reports about the condition of Mr Hosni Mubarak. State television said he suffered a heart attack while being questioned about corruption. The 82-year-old Mr. Mubarak was taken to the intensive care unit of a medical facility in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, where he has been in internal exile since leaving office. The ousted president has said the allegations against him are unfounded, and that he has the right to defend his reputation and that of his family.
