Official figures published in Egypt show the National Democratic Party of President Hosni Mubarak has won about 80 per cent of the seats in the recent parliamentary elections. The two main opposition parties, the Muslim Brotherhood and Wafd, both boycotted Sunday's second round alleging widespread fraud in the first ballot.
