Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and his two sons are being detained for 15 days as part of an investigation into corruption and abuse of power. Prosecutors made the announcement on Wednesday, one day after Mr. Mubarak was hospitalized with heart problems while being questioned by authorities in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. Mubarak's sons, Alaa and Gamal, have been taken to Tora prison on the outskirts of Cairo. Several former top regime figures are already there, facing similar charges of embezzling public funds and using violence against protesters during anti-government demonstrations earlier this year.The former leader says the allegations against him are unfounded.
