Hornbill festival 2010 concludes

In Nagaland, curtains came down on the Hornbill festival 2010 this evening with a colorful and spectacular function. For the first time, all the sisters North Eastern states, led by the Angami tribal warriors, shared the same platform in their respective traditional songs and dances reflecting the unity and diversity of the country. The closure of the seven day cultural extravaganza started with the lighting of traditional bon fire by Education and tourism Minister of Meghalaya, M. Ampareen Lyngdoh at the Naga heritage in Kisama. The contest to select the best Rock band in the country was held at the Indira Gandhi stadium in Kohima.
