Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today said, India will reach its highest potential and no one has the right to stall development of the country. Speaking in an interactive session on GST in India in New Delhi, Mr Jaitley said, in order to pass the GST Members of Parliament must allow the India's Parliamentary democracy to function.He however expressed hope that the GST will be implemented in the coming year. Speaking on opposition blocking the bills in Parliament, Mr Jaitley said by sheer noise and disturbance, session after session Parliament is not going to function then it will set precedence for all opposition. Mr Jaitley added that in the next budget session the government will start rationalizing the direct taxes. Raising concern on the global slowdown, Mr Jaitley said India's economy is adversely impacted due decreasing demand in international market. He added that, despite global adversities India has managed to maintain its higher growth. The Finance Minister said domestically India is also affected due to lesser amount of monsoon this season. Mr Jaitley said the government will now emphasis to increase infrastructure spending as the oil prices is in India's favour.
