Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday reviewed the flood situation in the State and announced more relief measures for the farmers, who have suffered heavy losses due to the recent floods. Mr Hooda said that it has been decided to waive 50 per cent lease money for those farmers who had taken panchayat land on lease.He said that it has also been decided to compensate farmers for their power dues whose tubewells have remained submerged during the flood or whose lands are affected by floods and are not able to resow or replant their fields.In addition to these two major concessions, Mr Hooda also announced that compensation would be given to all the farmers whose tubewells have been damaged due to recent floods.
