Majority of Asian shares today gained. Hong Kong's Hang Seng climbed 1.2 percent and China's Shanghai Composite gained one percent. Singapore's Straits Times rose around one percent and Japan's NIKKEI-225 added 0.2 percent while South Korea's KOSPI fell half a percent.

European stocks were up and trading in a narrow range in intra day trade. London's FTSC-100 was trading flat while Germany's DAX and France's CAC, both rose 0.2 percent.
