World Number Three Saina Nehwal, Parupalli Kashyap and Ajay Jayaram have reached the second round of the Singles events in the Hong Kong Super Series badminton tournament.In the women's singles, Olympic bronze medallist Saina Nehwal opened her campaign by prevailing over Aprilla Yuswandari of Indonesia. At the Hong Kong Coliseum at Kowloon, Saina recorded a 22-20 21-8 win. In the Men's Singles, Parupalli Kashyap stunned world number 10 Jan Jorgensen of Denmark in an-edge-of-seat three setter. Kashyap won 24-22 20-22 22-20 in a marathon match that lasted an hour and eight minutes.Ajay Jayaram also reached the second round after seeing off Zhengming Wang of China 22-20 23-21 in another men's singles match. In Mixed Doubles competition, Pranaav Chopra and Siki Reddy reached the second round with a 21-19 21-15 victory over Phillip Chew and Jamie Subandhi of the United States. In Men's doubles, Tarun Kona and Arun Vishnu bowed out with a 18-21 14-21 loss to Chris Adcock and Andrew Ellis.
