Hong Kong Open: PV Sindhu to take on Tai Tzu-ying of Chinese Taipei in final today

In Badminton, ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu will take on Tai Tzu-ying of Chinese Taipei in the title clash of Hong Kong Open Superseries tournament at Kowloon today. Second seed Sindhu, an Olympics and World Championships Silver medalist, has a poor head-to-head record against top seed Tai and has lost 7 of the 10 games played, so far. Sindhu will be looking to better that record and repeat her last year's Rio Olympics performance when she defeated Tai in the opening round in straight games. Since that defeat, Tai has never lost to Sindhu in the three matches played between the two shuttlers, which includes a win in last year's Hong Kong Open Final. On Saturday, in the semi-finals, while Sindhu had defeated Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand, Tai beat South Korea's Sung Ji-hyun.
