Homoeopathy, Yoga reliable, economical options treating patient holistically: Shripad Naik

Union Minister of AYUSH, Shripad Naik, today launched the Programme for Integration of Homoeopathy / Yoga through National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke (NPCDCS) in Gudivada in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh.<br/> '<br/>Speaking on the occasion the Union Minister said Homoeopathy and Yoga are good for protecting an individual from the incidence of diseases with lasting influences otherwise. He said these alternatives are reliable and economically alternative healthcare facilities treating the patient holistically. He assured that the Ministry of AYUSH is committed to promote the strengths of AYUSH systems for the benefit of society. The institutes under Ministry of AYUSH will be upgraded with the International Standards catering to the needs of common man. He said, in Krishna district, 9 lifestyle disease cure centers would be established soon.<br/> '<br/>Andhra Pradesh Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr. Kamineni Srinivas said the government will provide ultrasound tests to pregnant women free of cost adding that measures are being taken to further bring down the maternal and infant mortality rates by extending better medical aid and facilities across the state. Member of Parliament Konakalla Narayana Rao, MLA Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao and other officials from Central/State government and district authorities participated in the programme.
