Home Ministry has sounded a nationwide alert in the wake of inputs that terror outfits Al-Qaeda and Lashkar-e-Taiba are looking for opportunities to target the ongoing World Cup cricket matches in India and vital oil installations along the coastline. The sources in the Ministry said that states have been asked to beef up the security along with coast line, oil installations and all world cup venues. A Home Ministry advisory has also asked states to track the whereabouts and monitor the activities Indian Mujahideen abscondors and associates.
