Home Ministry instructs District Administration in Assam to tighten security along the Indo-Bangla border

The Union Home Ministry has instructed the Karimganj District Administration of Assam to tighten security along the Indo-Bangla border area apprehending Bangladeshi citizens might sneak into Karimganj to get their names enrolled in the voter list.<br/>According to official sources, the Census process for 2011 has already began in the border district and about 2,603 enumerators and 434 supervisors have been engaged for door-to-door enumeration.<br/>Besides, Border Security Forces have been asked to keep close vigil on the border.
