Home minister to represent India at SAARC summit

The Home Minister Mr. P Chidambaram will represent India at the SAARC Home Ministers meeting scheduled to be held in Rawalpindi in Pakistan from the 26th of this month. Not ruling out meetings at the bilateral level there ,the External Affairs Minister Mr. S.M Krishna said that this could provide a chance for useful exchanges with Pakistani leaders in addition to the planned multilateral parleys. <br/><br/>Earlier this week, Mr. Krishna said that doors were not closed on talks with Pakistan but it should continue to demonstrate its steadfastness in anti India formations. He has also said that any step forward in the direction of Islamabad investigating the Mumbai attack will make it easier to carry out normalistion of business with Pakistan.
