Home Minister Rajnath Singh has directed officials that the ongoing projects in the Borders areas should be completed on priority and in a time-bound manner. <br/><br/>Reviewing the Border Area Projects in New Delhi today, Mr Singh mentioned that technological solutions should be put in place where physical barriers are not possible. He said, it should involve networking of equipments like High Resolution Cameras, Radars, Unattended Ground Sensors, Optical Fibres, Infra Red Sensors, Aerostats and Hand-held Thermal Imagers etc. <br/><br/>Mr Singh expressed his concern about the difficulties being experienced by the residents of Border Areas. He mentioned that necessary assistance should be extended to them in the field of education, health and other basic necessities.<br/><br/>The Home Minister along with Minister of State for Home Rijiju reviewed the status of Border Roads, flood lights, Border Outposts and Integrated Check Posts along the International Borders. Major impediments hampering the development of Border Infrastructure were also discussed. <br/><br/>Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi, Officer on Special Duty Rajiv Gauba, Heads of Border Guarding Forces and Senior Officers from different Organizations were present in the meeting.<br/>
