Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has reached Jammu this morning on a two day visit of Jammu and Kashmir State. He will hold the first high level security review with Governor NN Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah besides top brass of the police, paramilitary, civil and Intelligence officials.This is the first visit of Mr Shinde to the Jammu and Kashmir region after taking over as Home Minister. Our correspondent reports that the Home Minister had visited Leh and Kargil districts of Ladakh region last week including border areas along China and Pakistan.The Union Home Minister has since flown to Chakan-Da-Bagh (CDB) cross-LoC point in Poonch district. He will meet civil and police administration and top officials of security agencies there to review with them the security scenario prevailing on the LoC in the twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri. He will also meet a delegation of traders. Mr Shinde is scheduled to fly from Poonch to Suchetgarh and visit the Octroi Post on the International Border where he will meet top officials of the Border Security Force (BSF), and review the situation on the International Border in Jammu sector especially in the context of a tunnel dug by the Pakistan authorities about 540 meters deep insideIndian territory at Chechwal in Samba sector.
