Home Minister asks Pakistan to shed terrorism & cross border infiltration

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has asked Pakistan to shed terrorism and cross border infiltration.<br/><br/>Mr Singh was addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) battalion headquarters and inaugurating an outpost at Jogiyabari on the India-Nepal border in Maharajganj district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday.<br/><br/>Saying that India wants good relations with its neighbours, the Home Minister clarified that talks with Pakistan could only be initiated if they stop ceasefire violations and violence, and give an assurance of not repeating it.<br/><br/>Mr Singh said that India will give a befitting reply to any adventurism from across the border.<br/><br/>Mr Singh also lauded the SSB for protecting the open border with Nepal.<br/><br/>Citing the achievements of the NDA government, Mr Singh said that several schemes including Pradhan Mantri Jandhan Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana are being implemented for public welfare. He also assured the gathering that the Gorakhpur Fertilizer factory closed since 1992, will be reopened soon.
