Home Minister Amit Shah says, fight against Naxals will be intensified; Pays respect to martyred security personnel in Chhattisgarh

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has asserted that the fight against Maoists will be intensified and it will be taken to a logical end.<br />'' <br />''Talking to the media persons in Jagdalpur of Chhattisgarh, he said the morale of security forces is intact.<br />'' <br />''Shri Shah said the sacrifice of jawans will not go in vain. He said, the Center as well as the state government will speed up the work of development in tribal areas as well as intensify the operations against the Maoists.<br />'' <br />''Union Home Minister held a high level meeting in Jagdalpur along with Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh to review the security situation in the state. Shri Shah today visited Chhattisgarh to take stock of the situation after Saturday's Maoists attack.<br />''<br />''AIR Correspondent reports, during his day long visit to Chhattisgarh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah met the jawans at the Basaguda CRPF camp in Bijapur district who fought with the Maoists in an encounter on Saturday. The camp is near to the site where the Maoist ambush took place on 3rd April. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">In this encounter, 23 jawans of the security forces were martyred. The Union Home Minister met the jawans of CRPF and police force at the camp and boosted up their morale. He also had lunch with the jawans. Earlier, the Union Home Minister paid respect to the martyred jawans in the Jagdalpur police line. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was also present on the occasion. In the last leg of his Chhattisgarh visit, the Union Home Minister reached capital Raipur and met the injured jawans admitted in various hospitals. </span>
