Home Minister Amit Shah says, development in Assam is not possible without peace in region

<span style="color: #222222;">Union Home Minister Amit Shah today said that development in Assam is not possible without peace in the region. Addressing a rally at Karbi Anglong district on the occasion of an arms laying ceremony by 5 militant outfits, Mr. Shah said if people need employment, healthcare, education, home, and electricity, then it cannot be done by taking up arms.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Shah assured that Assam will be made free of flood if the BJP led government is voted to power again in the  state.  He said that the BJP led government has implemented several welfare measures in the state during the last 5 years.  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Home Minister said that due to the tireless efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, peace is prevailing in the North East. He assured that all the relevant issues of the surrendered militants would be fulfilled within a year. Mr. Shah assured that Karbi Anglong will be made one of the most developed areas of the state. The Home Minister said that Prime Minister Modi has ensured lasting development in the North East.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that no development was possible without peace. Mr. Sonowal expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister and Home Minister for bringing permanent peace to Assam. Welcoming the surrendered militants to the mainstream, the Chief Minister assured to work for them following the Sabka Saath Sabka Vikash mantra.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #333333;">Earlier in the day, the Home Minister stressed that Assam should be made free from flood, violence and infiltration. He was speaking after attending a religious function at Maha Mrityunjoy temple at Barhampur in Nagaon district today. Mr Shah said that Assam is on the right path of all-round development. The Home Minister said that once Assam was known for violence and protests, but now the state is known for good works. Mr. Shah emphasized to make Assam and North East the biggest GDP contributors in coming days. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and other dignitaries accompanied him.<br />''  <br />'' Mr Shah also inaugurated development schemes at Batadrava Than at Nagaon district. Addressing the function, he said that the BJP Government is committed to make the state free from floods. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken several measures for the development of the North East region. Mr Shah mentioned that the Modi Government was able to bring peace in the state. He congratulated the Assam Government for COVID management.</span><br />''
