Home Minister Amit Shah emphasises that development in North-East region is among govt's top priorities

<span style="color: #222222;">Home Minister Amit Shah has emphasised that the development in the North-East region is among the Central government's top priorities. Mr Shah was speaking after laying the foundation stone for several development projects and inaugurating three major projects at Imphal in Manipur today.  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' The Home Minister said, the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a new identity to the region which is now experiencing a new thrust in development. He said, the NDA government has taken several landmark decisions to empower the people of Manipur. Mr Shah highlighted that the Inner Line Permit is the biggest gift to the people of Manipur by Prime Minister Modi. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, Manipur which was once a hotbed of insurgency has now become a hotbed of development. Mr Shah stressed that during the last three years, the BJP led government has brought unprecedented development and peace in Manipur.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' The Home Minister said, the youth of the State have excellent IT Skills and Prime Minister Modi has taken several steps to empower them. Mr Shah also assured that a Forensic Science College will be set up in the State and requested Chief Minister N Biren Singh to initiate the process.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister of DoNER Dr Jitendra Singh said that now Manipur has become a role model for development. Manipur Chief Minister and other ministers also attended the event. </span><br />''  <br />
