The written examination for recruitment of 40,000 constables in central paramilitary forces including the BSF,CSIF,CRPF,SSC, ITBPF and Riflemen in Assam Rifles will be held on 12th of May 2013.

The recruitment by the Home ministry will be advertised by the Staff Selection Commission on the 15th of December and the results of the examination will be know by 30th September. The last date for recieving application is 11th Jan, 2013.

The scheme of the recruitment will be on the basis of merit list drawn for each state as per the vacancies communicated by the ministry of Home Affairs state wise and category wise.

Large number of vacancies are earmarked for border districts and left wing extremism affected by militant actvities.
