The festival of colours – Holi was celebrated throughout the country today with traditional enthusiasm. The festival, which signifies the arrival of spring, end of winter and is celebrated to mark the triumph of good over evil. People enjoyed the festival with spraying colours and offering sweets to each other. Security was tightened across the country in view of the festival.<br/><br/>In Jammu and Kashmir snow turned colorful as people and Army Jawan played Holi despite of heavy snowfall. Participation of Muslims and Buddhists added to the joy in many parts of the state including Leh, Drass Batalik and Bodh Kharbu.<br/><br/>In Delhi, the woman prisoners in Tihar Jail celebrated Holi with colours they made themselves from flowers and other ingredients. The colour made by these inmates were also put for sale in Dilli Haat. Our correspondent reports that earning from the sale will go to prisoner's welfare fund.<br/>
