Services of Delhi Metro will remain suspended till 2 PM tomorrow on all six lines in view of Holi celebrations. According to an official release, the train service will resume after 2 pm and continue normally thereafter. Also the Metro feeder service will not be available for the whole day tomorrow. Delhi Transport Corporation, DTC will also suspend its bus services tomorrow. However a few buses will ply after 2 PM. Interstate services to Haryana and Uttar Pradesh will also remain suspended till 2 PM. Meanwhile the Delhi Police has made elaborate security arrangements for Holi. About 400 special teams will be stationed across the city to check drunken driving. Joint Commmissioner of Police (traffic) Satyender Garg told reporters that besides keeping a tab on drunken driving, the police will keep a check on incidents over speeding, dangerous driving, triple riding, minor driving, riding without helmet and other traffic offences. He added that drunken driving is now punishable with a jail term and suspension of driving license besides fines.
