Holding Parliament and obstructing its proceedings undemocratic: Congress

The Congress today observed that the demand for a JPC probe into the 2G spectrum is democratic but holding Parliament and obstructing its proceedings are undemocratic. Replying to questions by media in New Delhi, party spokesman Manish Tiwari charged the opposition with not allowing the houses to transact any serious business for 15 days. Mr Tiwari wanted to know who will be ultimate beneficiary if the session ends without transacting any business. Expressing concern over the stalemate, he appealed to the opposition parties, political analysts and right thinking people to ponder over it. Mr Tiwari evaded questions relating to the Chief Vigilance Commissioner saying that the case is before Supreme Court.
