In the Hockey World League semi-finals at Antwerp, Belgium, today, Indian Women's team lost to New Zealand by a 0-5 margin. It is the team's second defeat in as many matches. Earlier, they lost to Belgium 0-1. With two defeats, the Indian women's team's chances of qualifying for next year's Rio Olympics have receded. Meanwhile, the Indian Men's Hockey team is now playing against Poland in their second game. The Men's team won their opening encounter against France 3-2. Indian Men have already booked their place for the Rio Olympics by winning the Gold at the Incheon Asian Games last year.
