Ranchi Rhinos have clinched the inaugural edition of the Hockey India League. In the title clash played at the Astroturf Hockey Stadium last night in Ranchi, the hosts came back from a goal behind and defeated Delhi Waveriders, 2-1, to win the title. Earlier, in the third-fourth place play-off match, Uttar Pardesh Wizards beat Punjab Warriors, 4-3, to finish third in the competition. Full back Sandeep Singh of Mumbai Magicians finished as the highest goal scorer with 11 goals from 12 matches, while Ranchi's Mandeep Singh was second with 10 goals.
