The second semi-final between Germany and world champions Australia in the World Hockey League Final competition is now under way at Bhubaneswar. In their quarterfinals, while world no. 5 Germany won against the Netherlands via shootout, Australa outplayed Spain 4-1. Meanwhile, Rio Olympic Silver medallist Belgium have taken the fifth position in the ongoing tournament. In the play off match for the fifth and sixth places in Bubaneswar today, they beat Spain by a solitary goal. The match-winner for Belgium came through Dockier Sebastien's field goal in the 4th minute. Losing the encounter, Spain settled for the 6th spot. Hosts India who lost to Rio Olympic Champions Argentina by a solitary goal in the first semi-final yesterday, will take on the losers of today's second semi-final tomorrow for the Bronze medal.
