Home Minister Rajnath Singh held a meeting with senior officials in New Delhi and reviewed the situation in the valley.<br/><br/>Later today, Home Minister spoke to Congress President Sonia Gandhi over the tense situation in Kashmir.<br/><br/>Sources said, Mr. Singh also had a telephonic conversation with former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over the issue.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, normal life in the Kashmir Valley remained paralysed for the third day on Monday due to the curfew-like restrictions and separatists-sponsored strike.<br/><br/>The death toll due to clashes between protesters and security forces has reached 23, including one policman.<br/><br/>Over 250 people were injured across Kashmir valley, with more than three dozen sustaining bullet injuries.<br/><br/>Curfew-like restrictions continued to be in place in many parts of the Valley including parts of Srinagar city.<br/><br/>Mobile internet and Train services remained suspended. Shops and business establishments are closed in Srinagar.<br/><br/>Public transport is also off the roads. Additional twelve companies of para military force personnel (CRPF) were rushed by the Centre as reinforcement.<br/><br/>The annual Amarnath Yatra also remained suspended from Jammu today for the third day in the row.<br/><br/>Police sources said, no fresh batch of pilgrims was allowed from the Bhagwati Nagar Yatra base camp Monday morning.<br/><br/>Authorities said, the yatra will be allowed only after they are assured of the security of pilgrims in the Kashmir Valley.<br/><br/>AIR Srinagar correspondent reports, the death toll of civilians has reached 22.<br/><br/>A policeman died on Sunday in Sangam area of Anantnag district.<br/><br/>Over 250 persons sustaining bullet and pellet injuries are undergoing treatment at hospitals across Kashmir.<br/><br/>Around three dozen youths had sustained bullet injuries during clashes on Saturday. <br/><br/>96 security personnel also sustained injuries. The authorities have imposed curfew like restrictions in several sensitive areas of the Valley.<br/><br/>There was no report of any fresh casualty from any part of the Valley. However, clashes were reported from south Kashmir, parts of Srinagar and other areas.<br/><br/>The mobile internet and train services continued to remain suspended on 3rd consecutive day.<br/><br/>Today, no fresh Amarnath pilgrim batch from Jammu Base Camp was allowed to proceed towards Baltal and Pahalgam base camps in Kashmir due to the prevailing situation.<br/><br/>All stranded Yatris HAVE left safely towards Jammu.<br/><br/>With over 2700 yatris having darshan on Monday, over 1.28 lakh Yatris had darshan of ice lingam till now.
