HM Rajnath Singh describes terror as weapon of weakest

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has described terror as a weapon of the weakest saying that the neighbouring country was backing terror in its pursuit to target India. Speaking at the valedictory function of Chhattisgarh's foundation day celebrations at Naya Raipur yesterday, he said brave will never adopt such tactics as terror has always been the weapon of the weak forces. Union Home Minister said no power in the world would be able to weaken India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that referring to Maoist problem in many states including in Chhattisgarh, the Union Home Minister reiterated his call to Maoists to give up the path of violence and to join the mainstream of society. Pointing out that Maoism has already come to an end in China, he asked how it could then flourish in India. He said the government is committed for the development of backward areas and even if Maoists stopped violence for a specific period, government would take up development initiatives in these areas. <br/><br/>Mr Rajnath Singh said the NDA government under the leadership of prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to make India an economic super power as well as a vishwa Guru, which he said could be achieved within the next 15 to 20 years. He also gave away 20 state level awards on the occasion, to prominent people making outstanding contributions in different fields. Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh was also present on the occasion.

He said, leaders of Maoists do not want that the vast tribal population get education, job, health and other basic facilities.<br/><br/>The Home Minister added, the NDA government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to make India an economic super power as well as a Vishwa Guru, which he said could be achieved in next 15 to 20 years.<br/><br/>The Union Minister also gave away 20 state level awards, instituted by the Chhattisgarh government, to prominent people who have made their outstanding contribution in their respective fields.
