Home Minister P Chidambaram has invited Chief Ministers of Bihar, Jharkhand and West Besngal for talks before the launch of inter-state operations against naxals. He has written a letter to Chief Ministers of concern states in this regard. The Home Minister is keen to get the plan fully endorsed by the states.<br/><br/>The letter says that the Central government has reached some tentative conclusions on tackling the menace and is keen to take on board all the states affected by naxalism.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that Chief Ministers of Bihar and Jharkhand skipped the meeting on ninth of this month on the issue and their participation is crucial to tackle this menace which the Prime Minister described earlier as a greatest threat to the internal security. It is important to record that the BJP National Executive has adopted a tough line against terrorism and left – wing extremism.
