In a tweet, the Union Minister conveyed his deepest condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives. He said, a high-level SIT will be constituted by the State government to thoroughly probe the incident to ensure justice to the bereaved families. &nbsp;<br />''<br />''Earlier in Nagaland, at least 13 civilians were reportedly killed and few others injured in a firing incident that took place at Oting village under Mon District last evening.<br />''<br />''PRO Defence Kohima Lt Col Sumit K Sharma informed in a statement that &quot;based on credible intelligence of likely movement of insurgents, a specific operation was planned to be conducted in the area of Tiru, Mon District, Nagaland.<br />''<br />''The incident and its aftermath is deeply regretted. The cause of the unfortunate loss of lives is being investigated at the highest level and appropriate action will be taken as per the course of law. The security forces have suffered severe injuries in the incident including one soldier who succumbed to the injuries.&quot;<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, Governor of Nagaland Prof. Jagdish Mukhi and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have condemned the unfortunate incident. The Governor in a communiqué said that the Government has already constituted SIT for immediate investigation of the incident for delivery of Justice.
