He said that peace has been established in North East region due to the efforts of Narendra Modi government. Participating in the 400th birth anniversary celebration of Ahom general Lachit Barphukan in New Delhi on Thursday evening, Mr. Shah urged Assam Chief Minister to get translated the books on Lachit Barphukan in atleast 10 languages. He said that time has come to revisit the course of history for the largers benefits of the people. Recognizing the role played by Lachit in halting the Mughals expansion, Mr. Shah said that he defeated them inspite of his ill health in the battle of Sariaghat. He also inaugurated a documentary on Lachit on this occasion.<br />''<br />''Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Union AYUSH minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that 130 crore people of the country would able to know on Lachit Barphukan through this initiative. Mr. Sonowal said that the younger generation would be encouraged through the ideas and heroics of Lachit Barphukan.<br />''<br />''Speaking on the occasion, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma urged people of Assam to lit earthen lamp tonight as a mark of respect to great warrior Lachit Barphukan. Mr. Sarma said that Lachit Barphukan was successfully prevented the expansion policy of Aurangzeb . The Chief Minister further said that the celebration of the 400th birth anniversary of Lachit Barphukan has re -united the Assamese society.</span>
