India's ace shuttler Saina Nehwal today advanced to the pre-quarterfinals of the Hong Kong Open Super Series Badminton tournament at Kowloon. In the Women's Singles opening round, seventh seed Saina defeated Bellaetrix Manuputty of Indonesia, 21-14, 21-16 to make it to the next round. However, in the same category, rising shuttler PV Sindhu lost to the second seeded Thai, Ratchanok Intanon, 16-21, 17-21, to bow out of the tournament.In the Men's Singles, London Olympics quarterfinalist P. Kashyap crashed out. Kashyap lost to Chinese, Zhengming Wang, 14-21, 10-21. Srikanth K. also made an exit.
