In J &K, security forces gunned down a Hizb-ul-Mujahideen terrorist in the mountainous Doda district of Jammu Division. Senior Superintendent of Police, (SSP) Doda, told the AIR Jammu Correspondent that acting on specific information about the presence of the ultra in a remote area of Marmat, the police and the army launched a joint operation during the wee hours of today to track him down. On seeing the patrol party, the terrorist opened fire. In a retaliatory exchange of fire, he was killed. The slain ultra has been identified as Azad Ahmed. One Pistol, 2 magazines and 11 rounds of ammunition were recovered from his possession.According to the SSP, Doda, with his killing, the Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist outfit has been completely wiped out from Doda district as he was the only surviving terrorist of the Pro-Pak outfit.
