Hizbul commander killed in J&K Police, army joint operation

In Jammu and Kashmir Police today achieved a major success when most dreaded terrorist of Hizbul Mujahideen Ghulam Qadir alias Toheed-ul-Islam operating in Gool area of Ramban district in Jammu division was eliminated in a joint Operation with Army. The slain militant was active in Banihal-Gool area of district Ramban for the last 7 years. One AK 56 Rifle with 3 magazines, 1 pouch, 1 matrix sheet and 54 live rounds of AK were recovered from the slain militant. Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone Dilbag Singh told AIR Correspondent about the killing of the dreaded terrorist .The killing of the terrorist is a major achievement as he was the most wanted terrorist commander of Hizbul Mujahideen in Gool and Banihal area and was responsible for keeping the militancy/ insurgency alive in the area. The slain terrorist was also involved in extortion from contractors/business men of the area. The slain terrorist was also involved in the killing of three army personnel . Meanwhile, security forces achieved another success when they busted a militant hideout in Mahore forest area of Reasi district and recovered the huge quantity of arms and ammunition which is the biggest recovery of arms recovered during the last one year.
