The Bombay High Court will fix the date of hearing in Salman Khan's appeal in the 2002 hit-and-run case on July 27. Justice A.R. Joshi has expressed the anxiety that despite the court's order to expedite the matter, the hearing had not yet begun.<br/><br/>The actor's defence counsel Amit Desai today sought copies of two CDs which are part of the paper book. The paper book of the appeal was ready and submitted to court but it contained five volumes which need to be translated into English. <br/><br/>The court had on June 15 posted the matter to July 1 after it was informed that the paper book of the case papers was not ready. The court directed the registry to supply copies of the CDs and English translations to the defence team. <br/><br/>The Court on Monday refused to accept a plea to grant stay on an appeal filed by Salman Khan against the five-year sentence awarded to him. A convict in a murder case, whose appeal has not been heard since 2009, had filed an intervention application seeking a stay on Salman's appeal.
