Hisar Polls: Elaborate arrangements to ensure free & fair polling

In Hisar Parliamentary constituency of Haryana, elaborate arrangements have been made to ensure free and fair poll in the by-election. State Chief Electoral Officer Mrs Sumita Misra today said at Chandigarh that 1506 polling booths have been set up at 809 locations in nine assembly segments of the constituency, where 13.32 lakh voters of the constituency would exercise their votes.She said that there were 339 hyper sensitive booths in 75 villages located at 172 locations besides 387 sensitive booths at 195 locations in 113 villages and there are 44 critical polling stations. She said that 40 companies of Central forces have been deployed in addition to the police force and 150 additional nakas have been set up in Hisar, Bhiwani and Jind districts as Jind bordered with Punjab and Bhiwani with Rajasthan.The borders of the State, in the parliamentary constituency, with the neighbouring States of Rajasthan and Punjab would remain sealed. She said that it would help in checking illegal movement of cash, liquor and anti-social elements.
