<span style="color: #222222;">Head of Centre for South Asian Studies and Head of Hindi Department in Peking University, China, Prof. Jiang Jingkui says Hindi can be a link language for foreigners and &nbsp;become one of the official languages at the United Nations.<br />'' <br />'' On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, he told our Prasar Bharati Special Correspondent in Beijing, that around 18 Chinese universities are now having Hindi courses enrolling around 500 Chinese students. Hindi department at Peking university has developed standardized books for Hindi to help native Chinese learners and also translated various Indian texts like Soorsagar, Nanak vani and famous indian literateur Jaishankar Prasad's creations in Chinese.<br />'' <br />'' Prof Jiang said that Hindi can act as a bridge between people of both the countries as it gives a glimpse of entire indian civilization and culture.<br />'' <br />'' Professor Jiang also expressed hope that we are seeing tough times in the current relations of India and China but these are temporary and will eventually pass.<br />''<br />''Hindi Diwas was also celebrated in the Embassy of India, Beijing. Various competitions related to Hindi vocabulary and its official usage were organized. Some famous hindi songs were also presented by local Chinese staff. On the occasion, Charge d' Affairs Dr. Aquino Vimal said that Hindi is one such language which acts as a binding force in the entire country.</span>
