<span style="color: #222222;">Himachal Pradesh witnessed a sudden surge in the tally of COVID-19 as it crossed the 6,000 mark today. The total tally mounted up to 6,169 in the State including 1,591 active cases. Today 53 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported from various districts. So far, 4,497 patients cured of COVID-19 while 38 people died of Coronavirus in the hill State. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, the State government is also contemplating to open temples soon for which an SOP would be prepared to facilitate the devotees. Deputy Commissioners have been asked to simplify the process of entry to the State but the process of e-pass would remain in force. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Chief Minister Jairam Thakur said the Government is ensuring that development in the State does not get affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Chief Minister said that asymptomatic patients should be kept in home isolation. He directed the deputy commissioners that health workers should regularly visit such patients for their medical check-up. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said that a better quarantine facility must also be provided for doctors and other paramedical staff. Jairam said industrial units must be asked to create their own quarantine facilities with a minimum of 10 per cent of the total strength of their employees. He said that small industrial units must be encouraged to create such facilities by pooling.</span><br />''
