Himachal Pradesh: Urban Local Bodies keep close vigil on every person coming to the State in wake of Covid19

In Himachal Pradesh, about four thousand workers in 54 Urban Local Bodies of the State are not only maintaining hygiene in their areas but also keeping a close vigil on those persons arriving from other parts of the country in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. These workers are not only sanitizing the quarantine centers but also provided one lakh masks to the needy persons. State Government has provided Rs. 1500 for two months to the workers as incentives, besides giving them one month's salary in advance.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Chief Minister Jairam Thakur urged the members of urban local bodies that residence of such persons who had arrived from other States must be properly marked to sensitize the other people of the locality. He said that representatives of Urban Local Bodies must ensure that such persons do not jump from home quarantine. Meanwhile, 178 active cases of COVID19 are being treated at various hospitals of the state. The total number of patients tested positive till date are 481. Of these, 286 have been cured while six patients died due to pandemic.</span><br />
