Himachal Pradesh: Under second phase of UDAN scheme, air service going to start from Thursday

In Himachal Pradesh, under the second phase of UDAN scheme, air service is going to start from Thursday. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had announced the launch of flights between Amritsar, Kullu and Shimla in September. Under this scheme, regular flights to Kullu have successfully started from 1st of October. Now air flights from Amritsar to Shimla will start from November 16th. The fare from Amritsar to Shimla has been fixed at 1,919 rupees. Under the UDAN scheme state government is giving 50 percent subsidy on air fare. With the commencement of flights on this route, passengers will be able to reach Shimla from Amritsar in one hour. The tourism industry will benefit from the start of this air service and tourists and local people will also be able to take advantage of this air service. These flights will operate three days a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.<br />''<br />''Most tourists in Himachal come from neighboring states Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana.
