The Institute of Himalayan Bio-Resource Technology at Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, is contributing significantly in undertaking COVID-19 test. AIR correspondent reports that the institute is playing a leading role in providing logistic support for COVID-19 testing to various medical colleges in the state, among other activities.<br />'' <br />''The institute is providing an uninterrupted supply of all necessary equipment and logistic support for testing COVID-19 at Tanda, Chamba and Hamirpur medical colleges. Institute had also succeeded in preparing alcohol-free hand sanitizer and herbal soap to the consumers. Apart from this Himalayan Bio-Resource Technology at Palampur is also playing a major role in making Himachal Pradesh as Aroma State of the country by the production of aromatic oil from various plants. Chief Minister Jairam Thakur said, the State Government would provide all possible support for the research being done by the institute. He said large-scale efforts are being made to promote organic farming in the state.<br />
