In Himachal Pradesh, Health Minister Dr. Rajiv Bindal has resigned. He submitted his resignation to the Chief Minister today at the floor of the House during the ongoing budget session. According to our Shimla Correspondent, Dr. Bindal has become a target of Opposition Congress and some rebels of his own party who are accusing him of involvement in many Benami land deals and land grabbing. Today also, the state assembly witnessed uproarious scenes with Congress members shouting slogans in the well of the House, demanding resignation of the Health Minister. However, the Minister refuted all charges of corruption against him and also put some documents at the floor of the House . He termed the allegations as a political move to malign his image.The Speaker earlier turned down the demands of adjournment motion moved by Congress for the second consecutive day today, stating that according to rules, this was not an urgent issue for discussion.
